I downloaded the one for Star Wars: The Old Republic. I tried to use a few commands. I have the game as primary window, and say something like: open map. This is supposed to press the M key and open the world map. It does not. Voicebot says it is doing it, however, it is not doing this.

I also relinked it to the actual program, in case it was not finding it, due to being a free download from this site. However, once applied, it still doesn't work. I shut down both Voicebot and TOR, and it still won't send the command(s) to the TOR window when it is active.

Would appreciate any help, otherwise, so far, this is a costly block I paid for that does nothing.

Thanks!

Sorry to hear that you're running into trouble! Could you try something out?
  • On the VoiceBot Settings > Configuration tab, set the "Profile Macro Actions" option to "Always run macros"
  • Open Notepad and make sure the text area has focus
  • Try saying the "open map" command, does it type an M into the Notepad window?

Just wondering if the issue is with VoiceBot itself, or an issue with SWTOR not accepting input through SendKeys.

Ok, I tried it, and yes, it is typing the m into the notepad++ I used. However, it is not working on the program itself. So it seems it can't see/find SWTOR's file, even though I pointed it to it, and it won't use it.

Do I have to leave it running full for macros all the time? That's not very efficient, and definitely not what was advertised. Hoping you can help me figure out why it won't work inside SWTOR.

Thanks!

Just tried it with the macro's running full time, no matter what, it's not sending to the program itself at all. It sends to others, just not SWTOR.

Ok, I got it to work, however, I had to open the folder location for Voicebot, and then go into properties and assign it administrator rights before it would work inside the game. Hope this helps anyone else that may come across this issue.

Thanks again!

Thanks for posting your solution! That makes sense. If the game is running as administrator, Windows won't allow VoiceBot to send key-presses or mouse clicks to it unless it's also running as administrator :)

I am not running SWTOR in administrator mode I don't believe, but, I definitely am having to run Voicebot in admin mode to get it to work.

Thanks for your help, it did point me in the right direction to resolve it.
