Hi all,

Just a quick query regarding Voicebot Steam edition.

Each time I log into my profile Voicebot is set to auto start but it keeps asking me to sync my profile?

This only started after the most recent Voicebot Steam update.

Apologies if this has been mentioned on the forums previously and thank you in advance for any assistance.

Hi Chris,

Can you send over a screenshot of that popup that's shown? Could you also send me over a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the VoiceBot Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!

Hi all,

Apologies for the delay in replying. Please find screenshots attached of the issue.

I tried uninstalling then reinstalling Voicebot again, as hoped it might fix the problem. However it then popped up with this error below (in screenshot also).

"An error has occured while loading the settings.
BFSafeLock:Lock Failed: lockProfiles
Failed to call TryEnter
[System.Exception]
[System.Exception]"

After this it reverted to the original problem which is in the second screenshot.

"Welcome to Voicebot!

If you've used Voicebot with your Binary Fortress account on another computer, you can login to your Binary Fortress account to sync your existing profiles to this computer.

You can also download a premade game profile to get started using VoiceBot."

This notice above appears every time I log on to my computer, upon clicking "sync with account" it does sync. However each time I log on it's back again with the same message.

This only started recently after a Voicebot Steam update.

Can I just ask in regards to posting the log files is there any personal information, username or anything that I need to remove before posting?

Thank you in advance for any further assistance.

Hi Chris,

Can you try updating to our latest beta and see if the issue persists? You can do so via the VoiceBot Settings > Options > Enable "Check for new Beta versions", and then click "Check for Updates Now".

As for the log, the file will be protected when you upload it, so only we will be able to see it.

Thanks!

Hi Owen,

Unfortunately after updating to 3.8.3 (Beta 1) it's still asking to "Sync with account" each time upon log in.

I don't want to spend too long on this trying to get it working again, so not to worry as will uninstall Voice Bot for the time being and check back at a later time to see if it's been fixed.

Appreciate your help though in trying to get it working again.

Or if it's possible for me to just roll my version back to the previous version when it was working? Although I cannot see any option in the software unfortunately to do this.

Hi Chris,

Ah okay, I've attached a link below to v3.8.0 if you would like to roll back. You can download and install it directly overtop of your current install.

If we're able to reproduce anything on our end, we'll be sure to let you know.

Thanks!
