Hey guys, I love using Voicebot and so far I've made it do quite a bit. I don't know if this has been pitched before or if you have been thinking about it, but I would really love to see EventGhost integration with Voicebot. This would require creating an Eventghost Plugin or something to receive Voicebot commands and you'd probably need to add a 'send message' to EventGhost option in the macro list. I just think this would be really cool and unlock even more possibilities with Voicebot.

Also, if this is already possible........Someone tell me how.......If not I strongly encourage this feature.

Thanks! ;)

There are actually a couple of ways to already do it. One would be to use the EventGhost web server and set up a C#/VBS script to call the URL for a EG event. It's been a bit since I've used EG, but I believe you can also call EG with a command line parameter to trigger an event, too.

If you don't mind, could you elaborate or make steps or something of that nature. Just a simple Voicebot action that triggers something simple in EventGhost. Anything would be appreciated. Also thanks for letting me know that it's possible. :D

We'll certainly put Event Ghost integration on our list for further investigation. In the meantime, we're planning to add the ability to pass command line parameters via the Start Program action, so that you can call Event Ghost from a macro :)

I have linked the two programs together in a rather simple way. https://youtu.be/fGQMMdzS3TA What I did is for the commands that cannot be done in Voicebot or by using a script launched by Voicebot, I have it write macro event trigger labels to a text file. I have my EventGhost setup so that it checks that file once a second, and any time that file changes it reads it, fires the corresponding macro, and then clears the text file so it's ready for the next action. I put togther this quick article detailing how I set this up in Voicebot and EventGhost: http://thebaconnation.com/VB_and_EG.php
