Is there way to export a profile to a local file (XML, TXT, JSON, or the like)?
Is there a way to import a profile in the same manner?

Not at the moment, but that's a great idea :)

I've added it to our feature request list. I'll be sure to let you know when we're able to implement it.

Thanks!

Actually, you could export the registry key that contains the profile. They're located in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Binary Fortress Software\VoiceBot\Profiles. To import, just exit VoiceBot, import the .reg file and then launch VoiceBot again.

We'll still see if we can add an Export button, but in the meantime, hopefully the registry workaround will do the trick for you :)

editing the reg key didn't work out for me.
It may that the key was too easily corrupted.

On one attempt, I got back an "Unknown" profile with no action is in.

Other times, I would get back an old profile with a single action.

Its late (and I'm still at work after 15 hours) and so I many not be thinking this through thoroughly

Strange! I exported a profile here and imported it successfully. Would you be able to attach the one you exported so that I can test it here? Maybe it's specific to something in your profile.

We've just released VoiceBot 1.6, and it now has Export/Import buttons on the Profiles tab in the settings :)
