When my Echo recognizes a prompt, it has a LED light ring that flashes. With a little bit of coding and an Arduino, it would be pretty easy to set an action to make this happen too.

its possible to do two stage with a sound. you have to have the neutral profile with your prompt in it, when you say the word it makes a beep and switches to an active profile with your second stage commands. this also has the added benefit of waiting as long as you need after the initial stage for your second stage command without the need to repeat the first stage.

for lighting, you can use a light organ with a bandpass filter. when it hears the beep from stage 1, the pc can play a beep that passes the filter and activates the LED coordinated with the volume/brightness and length of sound. basically an air gapped visual system. this is just if you want to do it fast for less than 2$

On the Settings > Configuration tab, you can specify a word for the "Global Command Prefix" option. e.g. if you enter "Computer" there, you would say "Computer, Go To Sleep"

It doesn't do a sound prompt, so you'll say it all together, but we do have a feature request for a two-stage type of listening where you would say the prefix first, wait for confirmation, then say the command. We'll be sure to let you know if/when we're able to add that.

Thanks!

I created a batch file to have my computer go into Hibernate/Sleep Mode when using the command "Go To Sleep." It works, however, I have had it automatically run several times by accident while listening to music in the background. I also tried using the "Push To Talk" button, but had less-than-desirable results, as it wouldn't always pick up my request.

Is it possible to add an Amazon Echo / Alexa style sound prompt so that I can say a keyword, receive an audio prompt, and then make my request? Having this feature would be GREATLY appreciated, as I'm also working on a project to control my lights, as well as other electronics, and already have 3x Echos in my house. This would just make things so much easier to have them all function in a similar method.

Thank you for listening to my request, and hopefully, you might be able to implement it in the near future!
